9. Happiness
Midnight,
Shivaandh is resting his head on Shivli’s lap while Shivli is caressing his head. Few hours back, doctor has checked him and said he fell unconscious due to work stress over the day time and her confession is a minor reason for that.
Shiva – “Shivli, I’m sorry. A lot happened in a few minutes.”
Shivli – “It’s okay, Shiva. Now what matters is you are alright.”
Shiva – “Don’t you ask why I refuse your proposal?”
Shivli – “There is no need of that. I came to know that you parted ways with Pooja. I met Pooja once with Kabir, there she mentioned you as ex in a conversation.”
Shiva sits erect near Shivli.
Shiva – “Pooja is my childhood crush and it slowly starts converting into an infatuation which I believed true love for once. Since my parents are busy in their works, I mostly grew up in Pooja’s house with Pooja. We were thick friends. Unlike now, I am an introvert in my childhood. As time passed by, I realized how being an introvert is useless, so I started making friends and become cheerful. I always had a fear of losing friends because I lost two members due to misunderstandings. So, I am always overprotective of them.”
(Ae Dil Hai Mushkil plays.)
“After I lost my parents, I felt like I lost everything. Pooja’s state is much worse and as usual same thing I feared of losing her. So, I always spent more time with her and tried to make her overcome it. But it never happened,” says Shiva.
Shiva narrated the Flashback to Shivli.
Shiva in a crackling voice says, “When she said that she was suffering all this because of me and getting rid of me is the only solution, I was….”
Shivaandh cupped his face and cries.
The Breakdown is literally a small word to define his state. He starts to pour everything out. Shivli also cries seeing his state. She never knew Shivaandh has been hiding all these in his heart. Shivli made him lay on her shoulder.
Shiva told Shivli how he feels and what was his reaction. After some time of crying, Shiva got normal.
Shivli – “Shiva, you’re fearing of losing someone. But, what is the use of hiding the feelings inside yourself? You have a lot of friends and why can’t you pour it out?”
Shiva – “People see depressed people as diseased people and they are avoiding contact with them. Pooja has told me once and it is true.”
There is a silence for some time.
Shivli – “You know what, why are you sharing all this with me, Shiva?”
Shiva – “I… I… Don’t know… Its just…”
Shivli smiles at him.
Shivli – “It is because, you wanted to share your memories with someone who understand and listen to you… Even if she cannot understand, you want someone to sit with you without being judgemental or without giving any opinions. You want someone to witness this silently… Your love, your closeness and your pain (looks at his eyes)… You just wanted to speak your heart out which is locked up for years. Isn’t it?”
Shiva looks at her deeply while Shivli smiles….
Next day,
Shivaandh dropped Shivli at the Dubbing Studios.
Shivli – “Bye, Shiva. Let us meet at evening.”
Shivaandh – “Where?”
Shivli – “Here. However you come to pick me up, aren’t you?”
Shivaandh – “Shall we go out?”
Shivli – “Yeah, fine.”
Shivaandh – “Park or Coffee shop…”
Shivli – “Park. At 5 pm.”
Shivaandh – “Done.”
Shivli – “You’re… really unpredictable, Shiva…”
Shivaandh – “Okay, fine. I could understand. I am accepting your proposal. I cannot lie that I love you, Shivli. But, I really want to give a chance for this relation. Like we can spend time together and we will know each other well. If things work out and if it is really love between us, we can be soul mates. If it is an infatuation for us, we can be buddies forever in life.”
Shivli – “That’s the word of good boy.”
Shivaandh – “I am confident that I can find true love in you.”
Shivli pulled his cheeks.

After few weeks,
Kabir and Pooja go to the engagement function of Tara’s brother Anurag.
Engagement Venue:
Ishani and Mahek are also present there. Kabir and Pooja greeted the couple and sit on the chair.
Kabir – “I wish to see us in the wedding attire, Pooja.”
Pooja – “Yeah, I am also waiting for the opportunity. But our wedding should be grand and it must be in our expenses.”
Kabir – “I wished to see us in wedding attire. For that, if we borrow their dress and pose for a photo, it is more than enough.”
Pooja nudged Kabir while Kabir laughs
Pooja – “I am speaking about our dreams. You’re speaking sh*t in the name of joke.”
Kabir – “Cool down, Pooja. We definitely fulfill our dream. Only after becoming a doctor, we are getting married. Deal?”
Pooja – “Deal. I am a Dentist and you’re a Surgeon. We would be called as Doctor couple in our locality.”
Kabir – “That’s dreamy. Look at the couple. They are ideal. After all, they are having love marriage. They loved for 7 years and the strength of the love is their relationship.”
Pooja – “Adorable couple. Thankfully Shiva and your sister Shivli found love in themselves.”
Tara come to them.
Tara – “Pooja and Kabir, come on… The guests will go within half-an-hour. We have planned to originate a game between bride-groom only accompanied by the friends and cousins of couple. Let us arrange things… Come on.”
Tara took Kabir and Pooja. Ishani and Mahek brought a chair. Youngsters group joined together and arrested the engaged couple.
Tara made the couple Anurag and Prerna sit on the sit on the chair which was set up like this in the picture.
Tara took the microphone and starts to speak,
“On occasion of engagement between my handsome brother Anurag and my gorgeous sister-in-law Prerna, we are arranging a game between them. We have already seen their chemistry in the dance floor so now we can see the compatibility of the hot couple. The game is ‘WHO’s MOST LIKELY TO’
So, dear brother and bhabhi, we are asking you to remove your shoes and heels.”
All were shocked.
Tara – “Don’t worry. I won’t beat you with it but for a twist in the game.”
Anurag and Prerna refused initially, but all others instigated to do the same.
Anurag removed his shoes and give to Mahek and Prerna removed the heels and give it to Ishani.
Ishani gave a shoe and heel to Prerna, Mahek gave a shoe and heel to Anurag.
Tara – “So the game is, we would ask a question. For example, who is most likely to be foodie. If Anurag is the answer, you should lift the shoe up. If Prerna is the answer, you should lift the heel up. You should not see behind or do any cheatings. If both give same answers, you are compatible and you’re the winner.”
Kabir says to Pooja, “The game is interesting, right.”
Pooja gives a nod with smile.
Kabir and Pooja IMAGINED themselves to be playing there, sitting on the chair instead of Anurag and Prerna.
Tara asked the first question, “Who is most likely to get anger?”
Pooja lifted the heel while Kabir did the same.
Everyone claps.
Tara – “Who is most likely to get romantic ?”
Pooja lifted the shoe and Kabir lifted the shoe.
Everyone claps. Kabir blushes and other tease him.
Tara – “Who is most likely to apologise first?”
Pooja lifted the shoe and Kabir lifted the heel.
Tara – “Say the truth…”
Pooja – “Kabir is the one who pacify me, first.”
Kabir – “Pooja is the one who apologise first.”
Others – “Ohhho…..”
Tara – “Next question, who is the fitness freak?”
Kabir and Pooja lifted the heel.
Tara – “Who proposed first?”
Pooja lifted the shoe while Kabir stand up from the chair, he takes a rose from his pocket and go to Pooja’s side. He knelt down and proposed – “I love you, Pooja.”
Pooja was extremely happy and get the rose from him and hugs Kabir.
The audience whistles, shouts and encouraged them. Their noise reached the peak level so that Pooja and Kabir come out of their imagination and reached the reality.
Anurag knelt down and proposed Prerna in a poetical way.
That’s the reason of clapping and noise
Pooja and Kabir looked at each other.

After six months,
Shivaandh and Shivli are travelling together in a car to Shimla. Shivaandh bought the car just today and he is taking his girlfriend for Shimla.
Shivli – “Why are we going to Shimla?”
Shivaandh – “Are you lying that you didn’t guess the reason?”
Shivli – “Are you going to propose me?”
Shivaandh – “There is another reason too, which you know it there.”
Shivli – “Oh! Something romantic is brewing for you!”
Shivaand blushes – “Well, leave your dubbing artist job. You didn’t get an education due to your illness. After marriage, you will study your favourite course. So, decide which course you’re going to study.”
Shivli – ” You’re really a gem of a person. I’m lucky to have you.”
They reached a house.
(Yaadon Ki Baarat plays till their scene end)
Shivli get out of the car and asks, “Shiva, What is this house? You never told me about this..”
Shivli looks at entrance, which has a petals of flowers arranged in the shape of heart with a message ‘I love you’ with beads.
Shivli was amazed to look at this and turned to look Shiva. Shiva knelt down on his feet holding a flower and proposed her.
Shivli blushing get the flower from him.
Shiva – “I bought this house for us, Shivli. You are saying that you want to settle at Shimla and so I bought this house for you. You are going to inaugrate it. We can have marriage too soon, Shivli. Then, we can become husband and wife legally.”
Shivli becomes happy and did all the rituals and entered the house. The house was decorated romantic manner.
Shiva – “We are going to stay here, this night, in the same room as a husband and wife.”
Shivli smiles and hugged Shiva. Shiva kissed her forehead.
Shivli – “You’re so romantic, Shiva.”
Shivaandh carried Shivli and twirled around. All their past memories flashed in their mind.
Few weeks later,
Pooja – “Finally the tight schedule treatment is over. I am alright. From now on, angry Pooja avatar would come only when it is needed. I apologized Shiva for being harsh so I am guilt-free and now I am angry free. Yippie!”
Kabir – “I can’t stop laughing. I can remember when you were trying hard to adopt the new habits.”
Pooja took various therapies and developed new habits with her psychiatrist’s prescription in these eight months. Since the intensity of anger is not as much as she had during the breakup time, within eight months she becomes normal.
Kabir imitated how Pooja does meditation every morning without interest.
Pooja – “Kabir, You are making fun out of me.”
Kabir – “Okay, sweetheart. I won’t imitate you but…”
Kabir placed his wet lips on her lips fast and withdrew it.
Pooja – “You… Kabir…What if someone sees us….Shameless…”
Suddenly Kabir kissed her again withdrew it in a second.
Pooja – “You are in a form it seems, I need to take my weapon.”
Pooja takes cricket bat of him and starts to chase him, saying, “Today, I won’t leave you Kabir… Buffoon…. I’ll beat you black and blue.”
Kabir runs and Pooja chased him.
The story ends gracefully with their TOM AND JERRY GAME.
